One of my wishes was granted as early as January of this year. It was a dream come true for me that I was able to spend it with my siblings at my parents' house. It was hubby's suggestion to hold a small gathering because it falls on a Sunday. Actually, the actual plan was to include the house blessing of my parents, but because of our priest friend's busy schedule we decided to move it in another day.
My heart is full of praise of your loving kindness. You have seen our family since day one and witness how our parents struggle just to raise us. Our experiences taught us to become humble, to become contented and hopeful that someday we will surpass all of those.
Seeing my parents' house now is a testament that we are right. Our struggles were worth it. On the other hand, I am very happy that you let me share my small part of my retirement pay. It was a fulfillment and served as my remembrance from my previous company.
Thank you for our friends, relatives and neighbors for the support. They are our angels here on earth helping us make our life easier. Lord, please extend our regards to our loved ones whom we owe a lot. As much as we want to pay their kindness and we want them around on my big day, all I can offer now is my prayers that they are all okay with you.
And lastly, thank you for giving me my husband. He is the one who taught me to become more positive in life. He draws me to be more closer to you. I can't help, but cry for your goodness to my life that I fail to see what others are claiming I am missing. I'm sure if I don't have you maybe I live a miserable life.
Lord, as I step my new year with you, guide me to live according to your will. Give me more patience in dealing with difficult people and a forgiving heart this year. You know our plans. I hope this will run smoothly for our future. Give me the strength to face all of it with grace. In Jesus name. Amen.
P.S. Thank you for all my gifts. I'm sure these will make my life more easier and stomach heavier. Hehehehe
